A Heartbreaking Tale of Loss and Struggle

Neithenkim, the 5th daughter of Thangjang from K Songjang, shares a moving account of her family’s hardship. On March 13, 2025, her mother set out to Lamka with a bag of rice and a small amount of money, determined to secure her children’s future. Desperately needing funds to cover delivery charges, she attempted to collect leaf buds from a nearby tree (known as Mong phung in the Thadou-Kuki Dialect) to sell.

Tragically, she fell and lost her life.

Now, Neithenkim and her six siblings are left to cope with this devastating loss, struggling to survive without their mother. Their situation underscores the harsh realities faced by families on the margins and the urgent need for community support and compassion. Sponsors are needed to help the children meet their basic needs and build a better future.
